What if I have never played before or I'm not athletic? No worries! There is NO experience required, we will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know. Almost everyone on our team joined without ever playing. With 15 players on the pitch at a time, there is a guaranteed spot for everyone!
How much does it cost?Team dues are $100 for your first semester and $80 per semester after that. This covers tournament/game registration, referee costs, field paint and team equipment and a pair of game shorts. Secondly, in order to register with our team on USA Rugby, there is a $40 annual "CIPP" (registration) fee. It is considered rugby insurance and registers you as an official member to our league. With this cost, you are covered by USA Rugby's insurance. Out of pocket costs, NOT included in dues are personal travel fees such as food and gas, and individual rugby gear.

When are practices? We practice Tuesday/Thursday 5-7pm at Gregory St. Fields (just down the street from Cardinal Courts) We can provide transportation to and from practice. (Indoor practices take place in Horton Fieldhouse Tue/Thur 7-9pm)
What do we wear? For practice we typically wear athletic clothing and cleats if you have them. (If you decide to play you will need to get a pair) During games, we wear rugby shorts (made of a stronger fabric to avoid tearing) and team jerseys that our team provides to you. Mouth guards are a must!

Do we fully tackle? Do we wear padding? Will I get hurt?
Yes, we fully tackle, and no we do not wear any padding with the exception of a mouthguard, which is HIGHLY recommended for practice and games. As far as injury, we teach a safe and fundamental way to tackle so as not to worry about injury. Statistically speaking, there are far fewer rugby injuries in the world compared to football and other contact sports.
