Position: Head Coach
Time Commitment: Minimum 2 practices per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), games on weekends
Paid/Unpaid: Can be negotiated
Start Date: February 4th, 2020
Location: Normal, IL
Description: Illinois State Women’s Rugby is a club that is student run that competes in USA Rugby Division II within the Illinois Collegiate Women’s Rugby Conference. The club was founded in 1976 and continues to be one of the top performing clubs at Illinois State University. ISU Women’s Rugby has remained the conference champions for the past five years in a row. Last year, the club competed in the Women’s DII Nationals and finished within the top 8 in the nation. Outside of playing, the club participates in various volunteering and fundraising opportunities throughout the year.
Responsibilities: Must be Level 200 certified with USA Rugby and be knowledgeable about all aspects of the game. Communication and leadership skills are a requirement, as well as the ability to run organized and efficient practices. Applicant must be willing to work closely with the captains, club officers, and both new and experienced players.
